Auto Moderation

Configure spam, link, caps, blacklist, and anti-raid protections. All settings are managed via commands until the dashboard ships.

Overview

Automod watches every message and applies rule-specific thresholds. Actions include delete, warn, mute, kick, and ban. Combine multiple filters for layered defense.

Recommended settings

Spam: 6 messages / 5s -> mute 15m
Links: block, allow discord.gg/SRzjXzMvAn, youtube.com
Caps: block when >70% caps and >12 chars
Blacklist: add slurs and scam domains -> delete + warn
Mentions: block >4 mentions -> mute 10m

Start conservative and relax later. Log channels help you see when rules fire too often.

Logging

Pick one channel for moderation logs. Every action (warn/mute/kick/ban) is recorded with actor, target, reason, and message link.

Ensure the log channel is visible to Elpho and not rate-limited by channel slowmode.

Anti-raid

Anti-raid increases spam/link sensitivity when a burst of joins is detected. After 5 minutes of calm, thresholds relax automatically.

Trigger: more than 5 joins in 10 seconds.
Actions: stricter spam and link blocking; optional auto-mute on new joiners.
Exit: auto after 5 minutes without a spike, or manually disable.

Testing safely

Create a private channel for mods to trigger spam/caps/link samples.
Verify logs include message links and reasons.
Confirm timeouts expire as configured; adjust durations if moderators need more review time.
